2 Cor 4:3-4
3But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
God is going to lift the veil - which is revelation, we are going to get new insight and be drawn in closer to the Lord, get the good part that was given to Mary, and which shall not be taken away.
The Greek word for veil is “kalupto”
The Greek work for lift is “apo”
So to lift the veil we put them together “apo” + “kalupto” = “apokalupto” which is the word for revelation and insight.
I learned some of this from Dutch Sheets years ago (about the lifting of the veil, it is in his book, Intercessory Prayer). The lifting of the veil in our minds, or heart, is speaking in photographic terms. 2 Cor 4 tells us that the god of this word, the devil, has blinded minds so that the light of the gospel can not be seen. If you lift that veil the light of the gospel can shine through, which is just like the lifting of a shutter in a camera where the light shines in and puts an image on the film (or on the disk). God wants to shine into hearts and minds and put His image in us.
Revelation is the lifting of the veil!
Revelation is what is needed in the world today. Revelation is what will open the eyes of the blind.
