Christ's Victory and Spirtual Warfare

Col 2:11-15
11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins[c] of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

Christ triumphed over the devil, death, hell, and sin. Truimph!!! This was not an overtime win with a last second basket of hail mary touchdown pass - this was a rout. In fact it was a shutout, it was such a powerful victory and crushing defeat - like it was just about over before it started.

His armor, His weapons, His Word, His power, His victory, His work and power. We stand in what He has already accomplished, we do not have to work anything up - because He did all the work. We are in Christ, therefore we are in the victory when we are in Him. He is the mighty and powerful overcomer.

I am a believer in Spiritual Warfare, and pray, and pray in the Spirit, and declare the Word, and prophesy, and worship, etc - yet, my spiritual warfare is no longer as the "spiritual rambo" I use to try to be. I now find the most effective spiritual warfare is not to fight the darkness, rather, the most effective warfare is simply letting the light shine. When the light is turn on, the darkness flees. There is not a struggle or a fight (unless I try to do things on my own or alone or in my own pride - which happens way too much).

Very simple - light on, darkness gone.

It is a dual benefit, we lift up the light and 0ne - the darkness flees, and two - people are attracted to the light.

This post is not negating the power of darkness or the dangereous influence of evil in the work today. This post is witnessing to and declaring the totality of the victory and power of Christ. His resurrection power has no equal, for nothing can stand against it.

We need to start believing what the Bible says and apply it in our lives. Believe and obey is the only way :)

Thank you Jesus for your victory and the life of triumph you lead us in.
